Rates and quotes

Rates for video editing, mixing and podcasts

I quote every project from what you send me. You get a firm price within 24 hours, before I start.

How I set a price

Two projects with the same name rarely need the same work. The quote rests on a few concrete criteria, always the same ones.

For audio

  • Length: minutes of episode, film or audiobook
  • Number of tracks and voices to process
  • State of the recordings: a clean take or one that needs cleanup
  • Number of versions and formats to deliver

For video

  • Volume of footage to review and log
  • Length of the final film
  • Deliverables: subtitles, vertical cut, teaser
  • Sound work: voice cleanup, music mix

In both cases the deadline counts too: a rush delivery is planned in the quote.

How a quote works

  1. 01

    You describe the project

Through the contact form: the type of project, the length, and a link to a sample if you have one.

  2. 02

    I send a quote within 24 hours

With the firm price, what is included, the number of revisions and the delivery date.

  3. 03

    I start once you agree

The price does not move along the way, unless the project changes.

Terms

  • Revisions included, number set in the quote
  • Payment by bank transfer
  • Delivered as WAV, MP3, MP4
  • VAT not applicable, art. 293 B CGI

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are your rates not listed?

Because a listed price rarely fits your project. A 20-minute podcast with two clean voices and a one-hour remote recording are not the same job. I would rather give you a firm price that fits your project, within 24 hours, than a "from" price that changes later.

What makes the price change?

For audio: length, track count and the state of the recordings. For video: footage volume, final length and deliverables such as subtitles, a vertical cut or a teaser. The deadline counts too.

Is the quote free?

Yes. The quote is free and commits you to nothing. For a video project it can go through a 15-minute call, also free.

Does the price include VAT?

The price in the quote is the price you pay. I work as a French micro-entrepreneur, VAT not applicable (art. 293 B CGI), so no VAT is added on top.

How many revisions are included?

The number of revisions is written in the quote, before I start. If you already know you will need more, say so in your request and we plan for it from the start.

What are the turnaround times?

Allow 2 to 4 days for a mix or a podcast episode. For video editing, the timeline depends on footage volume and deliverables, and it is set in writing in the quote.

How do payment and delivery work?

Payment by bank transfer. Audio is delivered as WAV and MP3, video as MP4 with a WAV master when needed.
