Music Mixing & Mastering

Online mixing and mastering by a human engineer, not a one-click algorithm: bespoke per-track decisions, real revisions, and taste an instant master cannot match.

Mixed and mastered in Pro Tools and iZotope RX. Send 24-bit/48kHz stems with headroom, get back a balanced stereo mix and a streaming-ready master checked for loudness and true-peak, with up to 3 revision rounds.

Mixing and mastering that serve the song

Online mixing and mastering with me means a real person who listens to your track, makes per-track decisions an algorithm cannot, and revises with you until it sits right. I trained at Abbey Road Institute and work in Pro Tools and iZotope RX, whether you send files for remote work or join a session in Paris.

A one-click AI master applies the same fixed chain to every song and calls it done. A human engineer makes choices it cannot: hearing that a vocal needs to come forward by half a decibel, that a low-mid build-up is masking the kick, that one section should breathe while another hits harder. I read the intent of your music and serve it, balancing technical precision with artistic judgement so your tracks keep their emotional impact while gaining professional clarity and punch. Every decision is reasoned, reversible, and discussed with you, which is exactly what an algorithm running in a few seconds can never offer.

From intimate piano-vocal recordings to dense multi-layered productions, I adapt the approach to what each track actually needs rather than forcing a template onto it. Emerging artist or established act, the goal is the same: a mix and master that translate everywhere, from studio monitors to phone speakers and earbuds, and hold up against the references you love.

My Process

From raw tracks to release-ready masters

01

Initial Consultation

We discuss your artistic vision, reference tracks, and goals for the project, so the mix is shaped around your intent from the very first listen rather than a preset.

02

Mix Preparation

I organize and check your delivered files: stems or tracks exported at 24-bit/48kHz with healthy headroom and no limiting on the master bus, gain-staged and labelled so the session starts clean in Pro Tools.

03

Creative Mixing

The real work happens here: balancing, EQ, compression, effects, and spatial placement to serve your music, monitored on calibrated headphones and cross-checked against reference tracks so decisions translate beyond my own listening environment.

04

Client Review

You receive the mix for feedback, and we refine it together over up to three revision rounds until it feels right, with each pass tightening specific notes rather than starting over.

05

Mastering

Final polish on the stereo mix with EQ, compression, and limiting, set to streaming loudness targets (around -14 LUFS for Spotify and YouTube, -16 LUFS for Apple Music) with true-peak kept safely below 0 dBFS so your track holds up on any system and survives platform encoding without distortion.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between mixing and mastering?

Mixing balances and shapes every individual track into a cohesive stereo image; mastering is the final polish on that stereo mix, loudness, tonal balance and translation across every playback system. I offer both, together or separately.

What file format should I send?

Export your stems or tracks as WAV or AIFF at 24-bit / 48 kHz (or your session's native rate), with no limiting on the master bus. References of the sound you're after are welcome too. I mix in Pro Tools, so stems in any standard session layout are fine.

How many revisions are included?

Up to three rounds of revisions are included, so we refine the mix until it feels right.

What turnaround can I expect?

Delivery depends on the package you choose, from a couple of days for a single track up to a few days for fuller productions; the exact timeline and your revision rounds are confirmed during the free 15-minute call before we start.

Do you deliver streaming-ready masters?

Yes, masters are delivered to streaming loudness targets (around -14 LUFS for Spotify and YouTube, -16 LUFS for Apple Music), plus any format you need (WAV, MP3, stems on request).

Do you work remotely?

Yes. Most projects run remotely worldwide via secure file transfer, with calls booked on Calendly; on-site sessions in Paris are also possible.
